Bend residence

Residence with a backyard nestled along the Deschutes River with calming views. A combination of recessed light fixtures and linear LED light fixtures were implemented throughout the home with select decorative light fixtures complementing the interior.

The expansive kitchen island with a drop ceiling mirrored above is a focal point on the lower open floor plan. Recessed accent light fixtures illuminate the kitchen island for tasking while the drop ceiling perimeter linear LED lighting provides a warm wash of light on the wood plank ceiling. Linear LED light fixtures located under the upper kitchen cabinets and open shelves provide task lighting and highlight select kitchen utensils.

The living and dining areas were illuminated with recessed light fixtures avoiding using decorative ceiling/suspension light fixtures that could obstruct the river view. At the entry, an integrated floating bench visually continues from inside to outside by the front door illuminated with linear LED light fixtures attached below the bench.
