Custom suspension light fixture developed for a round dining table. Light fixture provides functional downlighting and uplight emanating from a contoured ring topped with shadow casting rod/leaf elements.

The light source for downlighting is shrouded inconspicuously in a housing that attaches directly to an electrical junction box while four slender power/support wires suspend the ring from the housing. Rod/leaf elements are fabricated from stainless steel rod, 3D printed leaf holders, and laser cut plastic leaves that mount to the ring and are arranged by hand to choreograph the shadow patterns.
